Prayer Did Not Work (Again)

Oh, what a fucking surprise!

Imagine this: An 11-yr-old girl started showing symptoms of severe weakness, being unable to speak, eat, drink or walk. Her parents, instead of seeking medical help, called upon a prayer congregation, and prayed over the dying child.

Can you imagine the suffering of the kid dying on the cold floor of her home surrounded by adults who were supposed to know better? Can you imagine the horror in witnessing the death of a child in front your very own eyes?

That’s how it went for the poor girl, Kara, who was belatedly diagnosed with a very treatable form of diabetes. Too late for her misguided parents to know that insulin shots do not come from heaven or wherever that superbeing is believed to reside.

Fortunately, there is separation of church and state, thus civil justice could be rendered upon the erring parents:

Shall one wait for another innocent life to be wasted before believing that there’s no such thing as power of prayer? As I posted previously, prayer cannot prevent planes from crashing nor can make legs of amputees grow.

Now if you can’t really help not to pray, please do all of us a favour and do it only for yourself. Thank you.
