Yet Another Hard Proof That Prayer Does Not Work

Countless times I have received prayer chain mails urging me to pray for this and that terminally-ill person, or to pray for bigger causes such as the elimination of poverty or to pray for world peace. The fact of the matter is that prayer has also been used countless times in countless wars across human history to cause havoc to, destruction and/or complete annihilation of one’s enemies. Indeed, just by that point alone one should be convinced that god sides with the victor, and hence favours only certain groups of people, and ignores the plight of the loosers.

Which by the way brings me to an interesting group of “loosers” in the eyes of this supposedly all-powerful Dude. I’m referring to the amputees. As this site sums it, “God never answers the prayers of amputees. It would appear, to an unbiased observer, that God is singling out amputees and purposefully ignoring them.” Indeed, no matter how hard a leg amputee prays, and no matter how many millions of people pray for him, his leg will never regenerate like those of salamander’s amputated limb.

Likewise, this Tunisian pilot should have realized that no matter how hard he had prayed, especially in those precious moments before his plane crashed to the ground, that his tank will NOT miraculously be filled up with jet fuel.
